I wanted to watch Cabaret because Fei Xiang is leading the cast. That WAS my intention. Of course, i am lured by anything that is Moulin Rouge-Chicago.

The show is more than that.

In Cabaret, against the turmoils and instabilities as backdrop of a 1930s Berlin, the appeal of courage and faith comes from the elderly Herr Schultz to Fraulein Schneider.

"It is not always a good thing to settle for the lowest apple on the tree-the easiest one to reach. Climb up-a little way. It is worth it! Up there, the apples are so much more delicious!"

"What if i climb and fall?"

"I will catch you, i promise. I feel such tenderness for you. It is difficult to express. Are we too old for words like love?"

Thank you so much Will. Lets try to reach up for the highest apples.
