My feet are sore. All the walking from last night is taking a toll on me now.

The things that Hui said....so bloody true. I think i saw another side of him last night. Cant help but to compare him to an onion, full of layers. Thanks for the new perspectives. Congrats on your new job! *pictures will be ready soon*

I am still not sure of what i wanna do tonight. Do not feel like clubbing but every plan still to be heading that way. Clubbing on the eve of a major holiday is such a bitch. You queue for hours and when the clock strikes twelve, you are still waiting to get into the club. Basically its just dressing up and waiting in lines. What is the bloody point in that? No clubbing. Wine bar it is.

The last NYE before Cass and Qing head to Adelaide. I am going to miss the 2 wonderful girls so much. Times at Gallery Hotel, hitting the clubs, chalet, shopping trips across the causeway... Cant believe how time just passed so quickly since that Cleo Magazine Party. I will try and get my butt down to Adelaide before you guys graduate. I am really really going to miss you girls.

So i guess this is it. 2006, here i come!

2005 is coming to an end.

This year has been pretty mellow for me. I have lost some and gained some. Definitely older but probably none the wiser. School didnt get any better. * I still hate it.* Highlight of the year? None that i could recall of at the moment. However, the fact that this year is passing by without major glitches is a huge consolation for me.

At the age of 22, its a little disturbing for me not knowing or figuring out where i am headed. Some might say that i am not THAT old, *although the young ones beg to differ. Ha ha!* but as what my mom says, " You have to start thinking what you want to do before it is too late,". Whenever the what-do-you-want-to-achieve-in-your-life conversation comes up, my mind is a blank. I thought i would figure it out this year but i am still clueless. Then again, how could i make long term plans for anything? Change is the only constant in the world. It is especially hastened in this high tech revolutionary era.

As much as i try to pump reasons or excuses into my head, i am slightly worried about not having a game plan. "Whatever floats my boat" was good before but getting older means having more responsibilities. How my life will be in the future will not just affect just me but my family. Strangely enough, i have a nagging feeling that anything i wanna do will probably be frown upon. LOL

Maybe i would find the answers in 2006. Just maybe.

On to another topic, i have been quite intrigued by astrology recently.
Here's an overview of my sign:

    23 July - 23 August

Leo is the fifth Sign of the Zodiac. These people are impossible to miss, since they love being centre stage. Making an impression is the main goal for Leos, and when you consider their personal magnetism, you can see the job is quite easy. Leos are an ambitious lot, and their strength of purpose allows them to accomplish a great deal. The fact that these people are also creative makes their endeavours fun for them and everyone else. It's quite common to see a Leo on stage or in Hollywood, since they never shy away from the limelight. They are also supremely talented and have a flair for the dramatic. Warmth and enthusiasm seems to seep from every Leo pore, making them a pleasure to be around. And they do love pleasure.

Leos are symbolised by the Lion, the king or queen of the jungle - a most appropriate mascot, since these people consider themselves the rulers of their universe (and the Zodiac). Like Lions, Leos tend to be dignified and strong, and it is this sense of their power that allows them to get things done. A Leo on your team is a good thing, since Lions are eager to see their projects through to completion.

Putting these folks at the helm is a good thing, too, since the Leo-born are natural leaders. They may ruffle a few feathers along the way, however, since they can also be overbearing and somewhat autocratic. This may be in keeping with the Fixed Quality attached to their Sign - Lions are indeed opinionated and set in their ways. They are also well-organised, idealistic and have a knack for inspiring others.

Leo is ruled by the Sun, the centre of the universe and the fuel for our being. In much the same way, Leos consider themselves indispensable and the centre of the universe, and those who would tell them otherwise had better look out. Lions are outgoing, confident and have tremendous energy. The Lion's enthusiasm is boundless, and along with that comes generosity of spirit and the determination to succeed. That focus may be construed as vanity, and even bossiness, at times, but Lions would disagree and continue along their regal path. Regardless of appearance, those born under this Sign can be counted on for their loyalty and sense of honour. They are also decisive, intensely proud and wonderfully romantic.

The Element associated with Leo is Fire. Everything about the Lion's personality is hot. Those born under this Sign are fearless and strong, which may be why Lions plunge in headfirst. Thankfully, Leos are dignified enough not to commit too many mistakes. It is the Lion's unswerving courage that wins so many people over. If you need someone to lead the charge, call a Leo - the bigger the project, the better, since they love an expansive stage (and the audience that comes with it).

While some would call Lions status-conscious, Leos are actually warm-hearted and want everyone to be happy. It's their kingdom, and happy subjects make for a perfect peace. Furthermore, it's the great gift of the Leo-born to be dynamic, forward thinking and self-confident. These attributes certainly catch the attention of others, making Leos very sought after by both friends and lovers. The Lion's charms extend to all, even to the children they dearly love. The pleasure principle is paramount to the Lion, which makes Leos great spenders - they cannot imagine an uncomfortable throne.

Leos love to play. Those born under this Sign enjoy fun and games both outdoors and indoors (and with a group), so expect to find them playing tennis, football or a game of cards. Lions are also naturals at the gym, where they can show off their stuff to a crowd. When the lights are low, the essential Lion comes to the fore, since this beast is 90% fun and 100% romantic. The Leo lover is devoted, creative and almost too hot to handle. However, since Leo rules the heart and back, overzealous Lions may have to take a deep breath and slow down a bit. You can bet that the Lion's home will be swaddled in royal purple and gold.

The great strengths of the Leo-born are their creativity, idealism and leadership. Lions don't lack in ambition, either, so they're likely to accomplish a lot - and have fun while they're at it. Their warmth and loyalty ensures that others will always enjoy being with them as well.

*G, i am clueless about it too most of the time. Its like the blind leading the blind. Its best that you do what you deem fit.*

    Hello folks!!!

All those time spent watching Jamie Oliver and Kylie Kwok finally paid off!! I have discovered that im a whiz in the kitchen! Dice, slice, chop, mince... i can do it all! Without cutting off my fingers. Ha ha! Ok, im just kidding. However, i do think that i have found my true calling! * So excited, so many exclaimation marks!* I can bake and FROST! HA HA HA HA!

No need to be envious of the chefs who can churn out beautiful cakes anymore. LOL Well, my *ahem* "creation" wasnt that pretty but heck, beginners deserve some slack.

Ok, i admit. My mom helped me out with the final touches but it was amazing what mother and daugther could do together besides shopping. Mommy, we should bake more often. LOL The idea to bake something from scratch instead of buying one from store was very impromtu. I was forced to make it. Physically abused!!* You know who you are.. evil!:P* Nevertheless, i was glad that i did it and the end result wasnt bad.

Ended up baking a pumpkin pie as well. Its a Thanksgiving dish but since we dont celebrate Thanksgiving, it becomes a Christmas item.

My Christmas Eve's dinner was more oriental. No turkey but steamboat.

Enough food to feed a small army. Of course, it wont be completed without drinks!

Vodka! Just in case anyone is interested, just mix vodka with Ginger Ale and a dash of lime juice. With ice and limes. How much of vodka to add in? You decide. Depending on how much you wanna drink and how smashed you wanna get.

Christmas eve's dinner wouldnt be quite the same without the people i love. Thank you guys for being part of it!

Ah Bee, thank you so much for that lovely gift! I love the colors and the case!

Jas, of all the weird things, you got me the shirt that i actually wanted to buy but didnt! It was so freaky. Ha ha! Thank you!

Gladys and Jo: Sisters by chance, friends by choice. The picture is now nicely on my shelf. I love it. Thank you gals!

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and cards. :)

This Christmas rocks! Hope everyone had a great time.

After watching my first Christmas movie of the year, i am left a little confused. My picks for movies around this time of the year usually revolves around a family with a Christmas tree in the family room going thru some sort of stupid crisis, overcomes it and ends with having a wonderful turkey dinner. Well, Narnia isnt quite like that, i guess.

The name itself leaves much to be desired. Narnia? Everytime i try to pronounce the title of the movie, i feel like i am saying something crude. *Ahem* So now its a "C.S Lewis's Classic" to me. Mr Tumnus's outfit is a little confusing to me. I mean he is a faun and all. Man from waist up but legs of goats and hooves for feet. I understand that. But just a scarf for a naked torso in winterland? A man from waist up.. that kinda means that he would be freezing? A scarf to give him a little warmth and yet he doesnt wear anything else like a sweater? That would defeat the purpose of the scarf.. unless its for accessorizing. Ha ha! * On a second thought, i cant blame him. I love winterwear as well. Everytime i pass by MNG or Zara in Dec, i just wanna buy all the coats, scarfs etc off the racks! "Can we go to a country with winter so i can wear these coats???"*

Narnia is like Harry Potter meets LOTR meets Oompa Loompa meets King Arthur meets Greek Mythology. Its all in one package.

    My favourite character?

Aslan. He is a lion and im a Leo. We mesh!!!! LOL No one touches our mane!! Roar! Coincidentally, i have a malay friend named Aslan. Which brings me back to the name selections. :s Centaurs arent bad too. Half man, half horse, can gallop anywhere.

Anyways, the movie didnt leave me with a warm and fuzzy feeling. However it did fufilled my fantasy realm for the time being. At least until The Hobbit comes along.

Mr Ram gave us a much needed pep talk today. He reminded me of my plan. Time for me to focus and get back into the game. I will try my darnest.

Thought i would share this with you guys. I thought it was hilarious. Thanks Regan! * Are you doing the usual for Xmas? Pictures please ;)* I like carrot sticks.:(

    Holiday Eating tips

    1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on aholiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmasspirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leaveimmediately. Go next door, where they're serving rumballs.

    2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Likefine single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's evenrarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it anyother time of year but now. So drink up! Who caresthat it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not asif you're going to turn into an eggnog-aholic orsomething. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me.Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!

    3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes.Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

    4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're madewith skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Whybother? It's like buying a sports car with anautomatic transmission.

    5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in aneffort to control your eating. The whole point ofgoing to a Christmas party is to eat other people'sfood for free. Lots of it. Hello?

    6. Under no circumstances should you exercise betweennow and New Year's. You can do that in January whenyou have nothing else to do. This is the time for longnaps, which you'll need after circling the buffettable while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and thatvat of eggnog.

    7. If you come across something really good at abuffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in theshape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can beforebecoming the center of attention. They're like abeautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

    8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have aslice of each. Or, if you don't like mincemeat, havetwo apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. Whenelse do you get to have more than one dessert? LaborDay?

    9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loadedwith the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid itat all cost. I mean, have some standards.

    10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when youleave the party or get up from the table, you haven'tbeen paying attention. Reread tips; start over, buthurry, January is just around the corner.

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming"WOO HOO what a ride!"

Eric has just offered me an account for next age!!! Should i or shouldnt i?

Just found out that i wont be getting any holiday break of any sort. Grinch!!! Christmas, holidays and time off from school are supposed to be the highlight of the year. What a bummer.

Well, the pre christmas shindig was nice, simple and quiet. *If you dont count my incessant chatter as noise.*

We were supposed to chill at The Balcony. Somehow that didnt work out. *Oh i totally forgot about the Preview Lounge!* Ended up at Bakerzin at One Fullerton instead.

Once again, magic of Christmas. The combination of Yuletide and sweets were too tempting to pass up. I wished i tried every single dessert on the menu.

Now i am craving for a icing powdered donut. Weird huh. Of course i had the tiramisu. Thats such an easy guess. How ironic. I hate coffee yet tiramisu is my favourite dessert. Must be the rum.

Dessert Tapas! Hmm i cant remember what we ordered exactly. Pistachio creme brulee, raspberry creme brulee?, hazenut ice cream with rice crispies, ginger jelly with lychee and something chocolate. No one liked the ginger jelly except me. Cant help it. I have an accquired tastebud.

I cant remember the last time i had that much of a sugarboost in my system.

Took tons of pictures too. Mainly of me. Ha ha!

Before the consumption of tons of sugar equivalent to aWonka factory.

    Sneak attack! Why why why?

Taken by the self proclaimed "good" photographer. I beg to differ! Ha ha! But, i have to admit that this is indeed a nice shot.

Always love the nightview. Peaceful and surreal.

Me and my left hand. Once again, she said i looked very "Ai(4) Mei(4)" in this picture. Yet i still couldnt understand what it meant. :s

Just learnt that someone is recieving treatment for depression. Suddenly i feel bad for feeling cheery over Christmas.

Oh i almost forgot! Check this out: Star Wars Exhibition I just browsed thru the website and there is a flight stimulator and a Jedi GYM!!!!!!!Jedi GYM!!!! How cool is that? Maybe i will be on the threadmill next to Yoda? Or Obi Wan Kenobi??? He is so sexy. Ahmmmmmmm i mean Obi Wan, not Yoda. Yeah i know.. i have strange passions. Ha ha! I have got to go to the exhibition!

Oh btw, its the younger Obi Wan im intrigued with. Not the older one. Not that he had much screen time anyways.

May The Force Be With You.

My grandparents are very sweet. Grandpa will call me early in the morning to go over to his house and Grandma will entice me with my favourite food.

A normal conversation will go like this:

    * Its normally in hokkien though*

Grandpa: Ah Yin, today you want to come over?
Me: Ah Gong, im still sleeping leh. Later can?
Grandpa: Ok. But must come over huh. Ah Ma cook all your favourite food today. Must come hor.

So almost every weekend, i get a meal of home cooked food. Whenever i am there, my grandma will start nagging at my eating habits because she feels that i "nibble" rather than "gobble". She raised me until i was 17 and prepared all my meals. I think it drives her nuts to witness my new eating habits. "Eat some rice for goodness sake. Where are you going to get your energy if you dont eat some rice?" she said. Sometimes, i feel like explaining to her that white rice= bad carbs but i dont think that my hokkien skills are up to it.

Today when i went over, I found a pot of brown rice. Just for me. According to my grandpa, no one likes it except me. * I will convert them someday. Ha ha!*

I felt like tearing but then the brown rice would taste very salty. My grandparents are jewels. This might sound quite cheesy but if i believe in reincarnation, i must have done something really good to deserve them. In their eyes, i have never grown up. I am always the little kid running around in their house which totally works for me. LOL Amid all the neurosis in the world, the fundamentals are always there. Like i always say, i am very fortunate .

Anyways, i must have been a really good girl this year. *This is my blog and i deserve all the rights to praise myself or have disillusions. Ha ha!*

Aunt Flor gave me a bottle of Special Christmas edition of Absolut Vodka! It comes in a nice white casing with snowflakes!! It also contains drink recipes that are easy to prepare!! Guess who is going to drink alot on Christmas?! Ha ha!I totally dig Christmasy gifts! Thank you Bee Bee!

Next up, the angel came up with an ingenious idea and made me an....................

edible candy train!! It even comes with chocolate train tracks and gummy Christmas tree in a beautiful box and bow!!!!!! Genius!

I decided to have some fun with it.

Ha ha! With Frosty and reindeer. The catch about getting a candy train is that you really cant bear to eat it because it looks so cute but at the same time, the candies are way too tempting. For the life of me, i could never figure out where she got the idea from but its wonderful! She gave me a card that reminded me a snow globe.I love the gifts. Thank you, Leftie.

Btw, stop upstaging me! LOL *you know what i mean.* Ha ha! Overachiever.:P

Mr Nasa decided to add some "bling bling" to my christmas and bought me a pair of really nice Swarovski earrings!

Earrings are my favourite accessories and blue is my favourite color. :)

Coincidentally, now i have a pair of beautiful earrings that will compliment my Christmas outfit. It must be the cosmic interference. Ha ha! I love the card as well. FYI, my first reaction when i saw the card was not to whack you. I cant say that you arent creative.:) My violent tendencies arent that serious. :P Thank you. Its a lovely gift.

Did i mention that i love Christmas? Magic always happens during this time of the year.

Cheers to awesome grandparents, fantastic relatives and wonderful friends!

    I am exhausted!

Yesterday was fun. Will blog about the pre- xmas shindig on a later date.

Today was good too. I love walking around Ikea. So many things i wanna buy!!! Reyna and me had our first real conversation today. She is starting to speak in complete sentences besides " I want! i want!" or " Yiyi, that one..." I asked her some questions and she managed to tell exactly what she wanted in a clear manner. Of course, so tempted to say that she is growing up way too fast but i have been reminded by a gentle soul that i have been using that phrase quite a lot recently. Maybe im more aware of the presence of time? Ha ha! I was 16 hoping to be 20. Now that im in my twenties, i wanna be a kid again. LOL Adulthood apparently isnt as fun as i think it would be.

11pm. Probably the first time in many weeks that im going to bed before midnight.

    Sleep well folks.

Christmas backlash is here. I am not feeling very Christmasy at the moment. I just wanna spend my last 2 weeks of the year with a peaceful and preferably, happy state of mind. At the moment, it looks pretty much like a sinking ship.

Sometimes explaining gets nobody anywhere. I get sick just listening to my own explainations. It shouldnt be this hard or necessary at all. I should just stop trying justifying myself or apologizing for who i am. I am who i am so just take me as it is.

Anyways, my KL trip was a tab boring. I didnt get to see much or visit the museums and stuff compared to previous visits. Mom kindly allowed me to tag along on her business trip. So it was mainly work, work and more work. I think i needed the exposure to see how the business mechanism works though.

Since it was held right before the Asean Summit and at the close vicinity, KL's was crowded. Roads closed to the KLCC were closed and it created tons of traffic congestion. My purpose there was to help out but i think i was more like a visitor, wandering everywhere to check out other exhibits. Ha ha! Sorry mom.

    Missed the opening ceremony though.

Malaysia's Prime Minister Badawi checking out the Korea Pavillion. Everyone was trying to get a picture with him.

PM Badawi checking out the Singapore booth.

It was quite cool actually to finally catch a glimpse of a leader of the country. It felt surreal. He seemed unfazed with all the cameras flashing away. I guess thats part and parcel of the job.

A lot of countries took part and the designs of the booths were interesting. It reflected the economical focus of the country.

Guess they are really proud of their space technology.

India with a section on Bamboo???!

Japan and Korea. Total technology wizzies. Did you know that the Animation for the Simpsons are done by Koreans?

Laos and Vietnam focus on their cultures. Not such a bad idea but the wealth of a country depends on technological advancements. Classic catch-21 situation.

Aunt Judy and me at the booth.

Moving on to the leisure aspect of the trip... All work no play makes Carina a dull girl and we cant let that happen.

*Ahem*Contrary to some beliefs that i went across the causeway to get Christmas gifts at a cheaper rate, the prices were on par with Singapore or more expensive!!! KLCC was not a fun place to shop at. It was so bloody crowded with people due to the major sales going on and my head just went into chaotic mode.

I didnt get any clubbing done even though i stayed at a hotel along the club district. Zouk looked so empty on the night i passed by. Some clubs just stink so bad even from the outside. Ciggies stench. Ew.

But i did went to Hard Rock KL! It was awesome. The service was great, staff was cool and food was as good as the ones in HR SG.

Santa Claus is supposed to travel by a sleigh. I guess in HR's case, he travels by a Harley.

A must-eat at any HRC... Homemade nachos! The serving was huge and it was delicious although it looked a lil disgusting in the picture. The one in Singapore is great and i strongly suggest everyone to go try it at least once if you have yet to do so!

Didnt get a chance to go up to the Petronas Sky Bridge too. Damnit!!!

One thing i dont like about KL is that the taxi drivers dont turn on the meters knowing that we arent local folks. Hello.. stop imagining that we have huge $ signs on our foreheads!!! When asked why they refused to turn on the meter, the answer was that with the amount of time spent in traffic jams, their earnings are undercut. Undercut my ass.

One thing good about travelling with a mission delegate is that you will be put up in swank places with premier lounges and wings that is just for clients on business purposes.

For that, i have turned into a corporate sell-out.*lowers my head in shame*

    I hate business attire. Really.

I cant imagine my life without my pillar of strength and support. Thanks mommy, for letting me tag along!!!

Christmas gifts come in different forms.

I just dont know what to do with myself says:
    you wanted that one, no?
    Carina says:
You are an angel from heaven!
    Carina says:
    *wings and halo!
I just dont know what to do with myself says:
    lol
    Carina says:
    How did u find it?!
I just dont know what to do with myself says:
hmm the ordinary. A huge crusade with many dangerous situations and fights, ultimately finding the song, protected by a huge dragon. I slaughtered the beast with a genious tactic and went back home victorious.
I just dont know what to do with myself says:
    nothing special really

Thank you, Caelis. You are really awesome!!!!!

What a long entry. I forgot to mail the Christmas cards! Damn!!!!!

We both know how it will end. We have already lived thru it once. Enough is enough.

Just got home an hour ago to find that someone broke a flower pot outside the house. The flowers that my mom painstakingly planted is now on the floor with soil that spilled out the pot.
Someone must have knock it over. What an idiot!!!! *curses like a sailor*

My camera is still in KL with mommy. So pictures will have to wait. If i am not lazy to post them.

I am supposed to be prepping for Thumper now but somehow i am just not in the partying mood tonight. Getting intoxicated, yes but dancing and inhaling of smoke? No. Im so sorry folks. I shouldnt bail like that but i just dont wanna be a party pooper. Chrystal, if you read this before heading to India, im really sorry for being a no-show. Hope you will have a safe trip and a hell of a fun time there. Get the hotties!!! :)

Its amazing how fast my mood changes. I could be feeling like im a million bucks to being stuck in the pit of a hell hole in 1 second. I am troubled, i guess. My life seems so perfect from the outside but truth be told, i feel like a spectator looking in from the outside sometimes. Its moment like these that i like to go clubbing so i can get wasted and just sleep it off. Not having to think about anything. Yes, escapism. Hey, everyone is an escapist in their own ways. I merely just choose alcohol as my poison. But not tonight.

Tonight, nothing will help. I could be stuck in a room with hundreds of people and still feel extremely alone. I could drink my life away and it wont help a single bit.

You really dont get it, do you? You have no idea. Either way, i am in a no win situation.

And i have just turned into one of those girls that i hate.

Well, i figure, everyone needs some yellow-card moments in their lives. You commit a foul, get benched and play again at the next match.

Consider this my yellow card moment.
