    :::Listening to Totally Buble::::
(I listened to it so many times. Think the cd should be broken any min now.)

Its been a fulfilling week for me. Maybe better if i did study. Sigh.......Man, books get me depressed! I keep finding excuses for myself not to study. Thats really bad. Everytime i tried to sit down and read my materials, something popped up in my mind. " Oh i need to catch the latest season of whatever crap i am watching" to " Im so sleepy". *yawn*

Played Mahjong for 2 days at my aunts house. Man i regretted playing since i lost my dough to them and beauty sleep. Of course, all midnight mahjong sessions make me crazy since i am cranky from staying up all night. I was so tired and pissed because my mother, the player before me, offered crappy tiles to me. Thus I ended up singing to keep myself calm and awake. Amid of the noisy mahjong noises, floats my heavenly voice. LOL My aunt went crazy with me too and we started to talk about nonsensical stuff. LOL Poor Flor. Love ya!

Went to Orchard Road and start my LOBSTER HUNT. Of course the lobsters at Shaw Center supermart were small and dead. Hon refused to buy them. LOL We went to HMV and Blue Max and he bought the latest Futurama and Simpsons DVDs! Yahoo for me since i like to watch them too! Yipee! However it was a tab expensive. I bought myself a Michael Buble album! Ha ha ha ha! I was exhilarated to the point that i thought my brains pooped out of my head! Kept listening to the CD over and over again. Oh dont be confused. I bought the "Totally Buble-soundtrack from Totally Blonde". Now all i have to do is to hunt for the Totally Blonde DVD that Buble starred in. *Gathers my spears to prepare for hunting* No luck with lobster though. ARGH!

He he! Saturday went to this seafood market with hon and bought 2 HUGE and i mean HUGe Canada lobsters. Not going to tell you where the seafood market is. The lobsters were so fresh and it were the LIVES one. Boy, wait till i dug my claws in them. Wa ha ha ha ha! It was cheap. Well sort of. its like $125 for 1.26kg of Lobsters. Those were big suckers i tell ya. Bought some fresh mussels as well.

I should explain the whole Canada lobsters thing. Hon is from Maine and acc to him, lobsters from that area are the best. Of course i never really had any lobsters to myself so naturally i agreed to what he said. LOL he cooked the lobsters the "Maine way" and we dip the meat into the butter. Can you believe that both of us had one lobster each? Its not the small ones like cray fish but the big ones! Hmmmmm DELICIOUS. It was a messy affair though. Very very messy.

I still have the aftertaste of lobster in my mouth. Hmmm lobster....*reminds of of an episode that Homer bought a lobster home and wanted to cook it. Ended up being friends with the creature* Sounds crazy but its the Simpsons! Hmmm Lobster..........

::: Listening to That's All- Michael Buble:::

Okay im lazing around instead of working hard for my sociology test next month...yeah I need a month to study for a test...I am that slow...LOL I always study at a slow speed because I cant seem to grasp the concepts well. And it doesn't help because im a procrastinator and needs a looooonnnnnggggggg time to actually hit the books.

I enjoy blogging. Writing stuff etc because I like to WRITE! DOH@@@ Well I cant find a topic most of the time and I really don't want to write what I do in a day because I normally do nothing and its like carrying a webcam with me and broadcast it all over the internet. You get what I mean? I have to thank Winnie for this. She got me into the blogging "mode" and helped me with the site. And she also complains when I don't update! LOL What happened to phone calls? LOL Kaypoh! LOL Sorry sis....ha ha ha...treat you to more banditto pocketts alright?

As much as I hate the fast pace of technology set upon us, I do like the fact that internet transcends across the globe. I do miss the outings or should I say the "human touch". We are starting to be "robotic". Robot moves when it comes to dancing, computer generated noises.... Although I really don't mind a robot doing my studying for me. LOL See I am LAZY! Bad Carina!!! *pinches myself* The human race has been immersed with the comforts of technology and its really altering our personalities and characteristics.

You know, I wanted to write about food but I ended up talking about technology. Just like LIFE, we always end up somewhere different than the original destination.

    Okay food.......

I had crab bisque and laksa at Island Cafe-CK Tangs last night . The bisque is flavourful with a soft scent of lemon grass and a touch of cream or coconut milk. The laksa however came in a large portion. I called it the "American" portion. It has quail eggs, fishball, shrimp, Cray fish, fishcakes, cockles, beancurd skin etc. I enjoyed the dish although I didn't like the thick coconut milk. Makes me fatter and piles on the calories and cholesterol! ARGH!!!! Did I mention that it costs $12???? That's like the most expensive hawker food I had !! Of course I would love to try the $16 chicken rice from Chatterbox since it is rumored to be the most delicious chicken rice in Singapore. However the price of that turns me off a little. I would rather spend $30 for a international buffet at Oriental. With lobsters, scallops, shrimps...etc Hungry hungry hungry.. I don't know why I always get passionate when it comes to food! LOL

I like to eat and try out different places but I totally hate dress codes. I like to be totally relaxed to enjoy a good meal and not trying to look pretty and eat at the same time. My imaginary perfect dress codes: ANything you want. LOL Its hard to be deck out in nice outfit and then perspire under the tropical sun. In the end, whatever perfume I had on will smell like cat piss or something. Yup imagine that..sitting in a nice restaurant and smelling like a cat pissed on me...Very nice.... Although I will have the restaurant to myself since everyone else will be put off with the piss....LOL

Its okay if guys cant cook. But guys, if you cant cook, don't expect your girlfriends to cook for you and bitch about it alright? Personally, I like a guy who can cooks and know how to prepare a romantic dinner. I mean we don't have to have candle light dinners every night but coming home to a dinner on the table is certainly nice. I cant stand guys who just freakin sit on the couch and demand for dinner. Take a hike! Yikes! My partner would have to share my love for food and cooking. Besides, knowing how to cook and likes to cook just up the dreamboat quotient! LOL*wink wink* I am thinking of enrolling in a culinary course once I finish my degree and also take a course and apply for tourist guide license.

Its been weird lately. I am starting to identify a location with food or their local specialty.

Australia- Yabbies and beef pot pies. When I went to the downunder a couple of years ago, had freakin huge scallops in Sydney's Chinatown. Boy it was so delicious. The crabs are bigger than my head and my head is pretty big. Seafood platter at Fisherman's Wharf in Cairns. That was delicious! The yabbies-( like a mini lobster) was great! It is succulent with a touch of the "ocean" flavour that I loved!!! Somehow it left a deep impression on me. I couldnt forget that. Probably its my first seafood platter too and they don't fry anything. I remembered that night at Fisherman's Wharves. The night was beautiful with a breeze and the restaurant was on the second floor and it faced out to the Great Barrier reef. Something peaceful, something serene about that experience.

Sweden- Swedish meatballs. I always wanted to try it at Ikea's Restaurant because its cheap! LOL Cheapo yes i am! I made them myself before with the help of a recipe book from a dear friend of mine. It was not bad. Kinda like italian meatballs but swedish meatballs has more spice in them and no tomato sauce.

England- sausages and mash, spotted dicks (I shit you not), vegemite, kedegree etc. Whats really surprising is that Singapore is once a British Colony. However their food has never been an influence here. Oh English high tea doesnt count. I do like sausages a lot!

Ireland- colcannon (irish mash potato), irish beef stews , Guiness beef, shepherd's pie etc I had irish food at The Dubliner Irish pub basically because i dont know of any real Irish restaurants other than pubs/restaurants like Molly Malones, Father Flanagans, Muddy Murphys etc. I like the huge potions and colcannon! Something about mash potatoes with cabbages and bacon....hmmmm bacon....he he just like Homer.

Japan- Let me make this clear: I only like the food. I dont like Japanese music or their movies or tv shows- except for Japan hour so stop coming and ask me if i watched the latest Jap series!!!!!I dont watch their shows!!!!. I know this is silly but i dont have interests to know more about the country full of people into kiddie porn or dirty underwear. I do know that not all of them are like that but i guess i have to generalize. I am only interested in their food. Sushi and sashimi! Bring them my way! I only eat raw salmon. No raw mackerel or tuna. Yikes! hates udon but like ramen. I really like teppanyaki and yakiniku(Thanks hon! Cow's tongue! Loved it!)! I remembered that my uncle Ben and aunt Florence brought me and my brother to the Hilltop restaurant at Jurong and we had the most delicious fried rice and crayfish-or was it lobster? I dont remember. It was great! Loved it! Oh and Japanese steamboat at IMM. I like the sauces and dips.

Korea -Ginseng chicken, Bulgogi- i hope i spell that correctly, Kim chi! My grandma makes top rated "kim chi liked" A-zar! Nuff said.

Thailand- Pineapple fried rice and tom yam soup. You have got to try Taste of Thai at Sembawang SC. Its cheap and good! Its not "totally" thai but its is suffice to satisfy my cravings. My eldest aunt makes the best Thai pineapple fried rice by the way.

Hong Kong- Dim sum Dim Sum and more Dim Sum!!! I love Dim Sum!!! Had Dim sum at a restaurant on Hong Kong Island. I think its at Causeway bay or Wan Chai. It was the BEST!!!!! The fresh shrimps in Har Kows! *licks fingers*. Yam paste pastry is so delicious. Deep fried but without the oily after taste. Crisp with sesame seeds. Did you know that the second time i went to HK, i went all over and tried shrimp dumplings from different stores??? LOL

America- This country is hard to classify like China because it is huge! When i went to CA, i had huge burgers! LOL and fake chinese food in the disguise of Panda Express! LOL But besides soy, CA do have seafood. Went to seafood village in San Diego. And round the clock cheap buffet in Vegas. America does have good Salmon- Alaskan salmon , king crabs, Maine Lobsters...American food is more than burgers and french fries to all Mickey D's freaks. I guess each state has its own speciality and i have yet to try it all!

Italy Everyone knows. Pastas, pizzas, tiramisu.......Personally, i like bruschetta, risottos, manicotti!!! Loves ricotta cheese!!!! Alot of people dont know this but Italians also use alot of seafood in their cooking as the northern part are close to the Mediterrenean sea. And Italians do make good wine. With the natural rich soil and good climate, grapes vines are grown exceptionally well.

Of course of all that, i will never be able to forget Singapore food! All the chicken rice, laksas, chilli crabs etc. What i like is the fact that SG is like a melting pot. You can get almost every type of food here!

Okay enough of the countries. i will put up more when i can think of it. LOL I am into Mediterreanean and greek(Feta cheese-yummy) food lately. Went to this Med restaurant a couple of weeks ago and had Portugese Goa Curry. Its is originally an indian dish but has been modified in Portugal. Mediterreanean food is lower in fat and they have less meat. Their diet consists of more fish and vegetables. My favourites are Greek Pasta Salad and Greek Garden Salad!

I have been listening to almost nothing except for Michael Buble. Heard that he is coming next Jan! Keeping my fingers crossed. *pray to the Almighty* Please please please!!!!

Now if you click on the link i had on the website, you can listen to Buble's self entitled album. Just click on the Buble link and launch the player. BUY THE CD!!!!!! The Buble magic has unleashed its forces on me. *lord save me!!!!*LOL

Enough for the day. My fingers are tired and my nails are chipping from the massive blogging!
    Until then........

"With each word your tenderness grows,
    Tearing my fears apart
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose,
    Touches my foolish heart"

:::Listening to The way you look tonight-Tony Bennet:::

I actually got a request to enter a new entry for my blog from "W". Ha ha ha! Come on! I dont think my life is that interesting! LOL ! I have nothing to write about!!! Except that i changed my hair style and i looked pretty idiotic???

    Here goes as per requested.....

I changed my hairstyle about 2 days ago. Looks funny to me. Everyone says i look CUTE. I dont want to be cute! I want to be beautiful! ARGH!!!!!! My brother said, "Cutting your hair doesnt mean you look heavenly but its refreshing,". And i thought i could count on family! I told hon how much it cost to get the hair cut and his eyes almost popped out of his sockets! LOL Thats a classic sight. I wondered if his heart skipped a beat?

Enough of that. Been pretty bored lately. As usual, due to my naturally inclined "Lazing" personality, i have not done anything interesting. Except for tracking down long lost friends thru Friendster.

My stomach has been "sick" lately. Apparently, i have not been eating much. I am an amazing woman. I dont have to eat to gain the extra pounds. WTF?? Maybe its my blood....explain later....

    Hey "W" , i have nothing else to write....so i will end off here...LOL

:::Listening to It might be you-Stephen Bishop:::

Today has been a wonderful day. Successful shopping trip. Bought a bag, a pair of jeans, and a Mango top all under my budget! Sweet!!! Happy happy happy! My dad drove me to school today. Saved me a trip and avoided all the rain and puddles! Thanks Pops!

Also received pleasant news. Cant tell you guys! Sorry!!! Happy happy happy again! LOL people might think im on crack or something. Between me and hon.

Saw a freakin huge lobster for the low low price of twenty bucks!!! Acc. to hon, he wants to cook it the "Maine" style. That means boil it and dip the meat into butter!!! I am going to trust him on that. Sounds so delicious! I am hungry!!! Maybe we should sprinkle some sea salt or something.....maybe not so we can taste the fresh sweetness of the lobster. Well i hope it is fresh...... Sure looks like it. One bad point. The claws of the lobsters are chopped off!!! Dammit!!! Thats the best part...hmmmm lobster!!! I can think of so many lobster dish!!! Yummy. Lobster bisque, Lobster Thermidor, Lobster pasta, lobster sauce, lobster ravioli, lobster cocktail salad, lobster stuffed tenderloin....okay okay i will stop. Now you can wipe the drool from your face. I do know of 2 places that sell cooked Maine Lobster in Singapore. 1- Mortons of Chicago at The Oriental 2- Tung Lok seafood gallery. I am kinda interested to try out the seafood platter from Tung Lok. Saw the menu for their Ala Carte Buffet. The menu just goes on and on. Too much selection! All for the low low price of 30 bucks!! LOL Well it might be a tab pricey but i swear that you will change your mind when you see the menu!! Yum yum yum!!! Cant wait till Sunday!

I suggest that for a romantic dinner, go to Pregos at Swissotel Stamford. Fantastic squid black ink ravioli with crab meat with clam and lobster sauce Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fragance of the dish will hit you like a ton of bricks!

Your not the only one who is hungry now. Me too and i am the one writing this. Dammit!

:::Listening to Kissing a Fool-Michael Buble:::

I cant sleep. I am scared. I don't know which one is worse. I have a feeling in my gut that something bad is going to happen but I cant put my finger on it. Im not really sure what it is or where I got the vibe from. Maybe its because I think too much. My imagination tends to run wild. I hate dreams and nightmares. For me, I always experience Deja Vu. Frequently!!! No, don't come and ask me for 4-digits or striking lottery numbers. I am not that lucky. LOL My dreams always revolves on losing a loved one. Experts said that our dreams echo the deepest fears inside us. Maybe it is true. Anyways, I cant sleep dammit!!!! What can I do? I should go study for my marketing test but lord knows I wont do that. Sigh.

I was watching a news channel from US and it has a segment called "Today loves the 80s,". It showcased some movies and dramas from the 80s! One thing I don't like is the retro music. YIKES! Sorry I am not a retro fan. Cant F*cking stand it! I like Dirty Dancing though-the movie and the soundtrack. I even saw the original Simpsons. Cant believe it. Never thought I will ever see the clip!!! To be totally honest, I wish I was born in the earlier generation. That's why I can experience the revolutions and rallies. Be infused with magical music from the old standards. Dress like a hippie and do the peace sign! LOL! Man I totally miss out on that. I think im born in the wrong country too. Wrong country, bad timing. Sigh. Maybe 2 wrongs make a right.

I dont know whats wrong with me.

:::Listening to The Temptations' Just my imagination:::
(I am really getting old arent i?? LOL)

My dad always drill into my head that our bodies are very important. I never thought so until the Slim 10 incident. Small little pills made with the so called advanced technology, medical knowledge and created by the our very own fellow human beings can caused such damage. Its like we are killing each other with pills now instead of nuclear weapons or bombs...you know what i am getting at? Of course, in this generation, if anything goes wrong, we should sue. Even if we took our pills without any dagger at our throats. Something goes wrong, we sue. Watching too much lawyer series like The Practice and Ally Mcbeal. Hmmm I should have sue all those a**holes who said that i am fat all these years...caused me emotional damage. This clearly reflects on our social values. We are brought up to be responsible for our actions and when things go wwrong, we sue???? What happen to taking responsibilty for our own actions?? I feel so sorry for R Tan. Doing a favour landed him in a court suit.

To all my friends, relatives, whoever i know...
Just to let you guys know, i am never ever going to do any favours for you guys. No no, its not because i dont love you no more. Well let me put it this way, i am not going to spend my whole life slogging off to pay damages fee just because i do you guys a favour.

Let me give you a scenario.......
You and i are out and we decide to have our meal at some restaurant. I am KIND enough to help you buy whatever crap you want. After that, you go home and puke and stomach out and decides to sue the restaurant and me for the food poisoning. Doesnt that sounds crazy to you? Thats the world for you and me. Sometimes i feel that the world is spinning out of control.

Times are changing. I always remember that my brother said " The one thing that doesnt changes is that EVERYTHING CHANGES". So true. I wish that time could stand still and just hold on for the perfect moment.

"But it was just my imagination, running away with me"

    ::: That's All :::

I can only give you love that lasts forever,
And a promise to be near each time you call.
And the only heart I own
    For you and you alone
    That's all,
    That's all...

I can only give you country walks in springtime
    And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall;
And a love whose burning light
    Will warm the winter's night
    That's all,
    That's all.

There are those I am sure who have told you,
They would give you the world for a toy.
All I have are these arms to enfold you,
And a love even time can't destroy.

If you're wondering what I'm asking in return, dear,
You'll be glad to know that my demands are small.
Say it's me that you'll adore,
    For now and evermore
    That's all,
    That's all.

I love the lyrics of the song. Part of me always trying to imagine going for walks in the countryside. Enjoy the sights of autumn leaves falling. With a love one of course. Im so afraid i will not get a chance to do that.My dream is always to live in a small town with a house of my own. Watching too much GIlmore Girls. Damn show!

Tried changing the look of my blog earlier on! Got pissed off because i cant seem to get it to work no matter what!!!! What a computer idiot i am!! ARGH! Stupid Carina! Stupid Blog!

Cant find a topic to write about today. I have a couple of ideas in my head but i dont know how to get started.

Basically nothing happened. Surprising huh. My big tummy has been hurting me for the past couple of days. Every since i ate the papaya and shrimp dumpling noodles. I wondered whats up with that!! The thing that is frustrating is that i cant seem to make th pain vanish forever no matter what i do!!!

Going cycling on Saturday at East Coast Park. Cant wait!! Lose some of the blubber!
