//Listening to Michael Buble's CD right now// read the concert review below!
KISSING A FOOL
You are far
When I could have been your star
You listened to people
Who scared you to death, and from my heart
Strange that you were strong enough
To even make a start
But you'll never find
Peace of mind
Til you listen to your heart
People
You can never change the way they feel
Better let them do just what they will
For they will
If you let them
Steal your heart from you
People
Will always make a lover feel a fool
But you knew I loved you
We could have shown them all
We should have seen love through
Fooled me with the tears in your eyes
Covered me with kisses and lies
So goodbye
But please don't take my heart
You are far
I'm never gonna be your star
I'll pick up the pieces
And mend my heart
Maybe I'll be strong enough
I don't know where to start
But I'll never find
Peace of mind
While I listen to my heart
People
You can never change the way they feel
Better let them do just what they will
For they will
If you let them
Steal your heart
And people
Will always make a lover feel a fool
But you knew I loved you
We could have shown them all
But remember this
Every other kiss
That you ever give
Long as we both live
When you need the hand of another man
One you really can surrender with
I will wait for you
Like I always do
There's something there
That can't compete with any other
You are far
When I could have been your star
You listened to people
Who scared you to death, and from my heart
Strange that I was wrong enough
To think you'd love me too
I guess you were kissing a fool
You must have been kissing a fool
Concert Review-Michael Buble (Boo-Blay)
How i should i say this....I was enchanted and mesmerized by his voice. The concert started 20 mins later than the time specified. Singaporeans are never on time. LOL I was sitting on the center right side of the stage. 6 rows from the front. So close!!! Michael was with his 8 men band. He started with a cover of Van Morrison's Moondance. Then some women are taking pictures of him and photography was not alone. He said that "photography is not allowed right? But of course it will be right if i am in there!" And he came down the stage to take the pictures with those lucky females and gave them a hug! I swear the whole audience just went " awwwww". Every woman was jealous. LOL By the way, the concert was packed. I have no idea that his music appealed to some many people. From the audience, there are the yuppies to the old folks...LOL I think i was the youngest in the front section. Everyone seem to be older than me! WOW.
Before he sang the song "Fever" he was like saying that he hope that he doesnt want to responsible for couples breaking up as the tone of "Fever" is sexy and the music makes people horny. LOL Then he called himself a walking oyster!!! Of course he was joking.... Otherwise the govt would have to R-21 his show! LOL
He entertained the audience with his jokes and bits and pieces of his life. I am not sure how he is in real life but i would like to write this thinking that he is how he presented on stage. I feel that he is a down to earth guy and he did managed to reach the audience on a personal level. He sang almost all the songs from his debut album except for "Summer Wind" etc. But he did added in songs like " Mack the Knife". He mentioned that it was hard to be in the business for him as he missed his family and did a song in honour of his grandpa who influenced him with the style of music he sings today. I would say that he has good "PR" skills. He is a natural on stage and lots of interactions with the audience. If music doesnt work out for him, perhaps he can try out for "Saturday night live" LOL. The band was awesome too. I really love the way they played the music.
I always thought that Buble is french but he is ITALIAN! Im shocked!!!! His voice is really amazing. You know how some people sang worse than their CDs? Not Buble. He sounded really great (I think he sounds better singing live than in the CD) LOL. Good range. His voice and style of singing shows great diversity and tone. He even did a RAP! LOL The audience was laughing their asses off. According to him, because he is Canadian, he is automatically a gang-sta. Even did the ghetto talk." Hang out with the slamming bitches.." LOL
I was over the moon when he sang "the way you looked tonight". I first started listen to the song by Tony Bennet. Later, i heard the song on Steven tyrell's album. The wonderful thing is that the song covered by the 3 of them, has such a different beat and emotion with each of their individuality. When Buble sang "Kissing a fool", tears just surfaced in my eyes. I was touched by the way the song was presented. It was really beautiful.
I did not regret going to this concert one bit. In fact, if he ever step upon the Singapore shore again, i would definitely go again. To all my friends who like jazz/swing or music of the "Sinatra" genre, please go buy the debut album.
Thank you hon for buying me the ticket. I really appreciate it and i enjoyed the show tremendously. Thank you for the experience of the lifetime and for furthur enhancing my music knowledge.
