:::Listening to Buble's Christmas EP:::
It has been raining heavily for the last couple of days. I wonder if the rain reflects my mood and spirit? Sigh. The streets are wet and it is cold now. This December has not been a good month for alot of people which is kinda sad because i deem it the "Christmas month". That means December should be a cheery month that is filled with love, happiness, peace and warmth. However, i have had a lot of bad news all month round. My own problems aside, there are always talks of a friend of a friend who got into some problems or something...What is happening to my favourite month of the year???
December seems to be the month where all our childhood memories starts to flow through. I went to some shopping mall and the decorations were based on nursery and fairy tales. Fairy tales.... Is it true or false? Do fairy tales really mean anything? Or is it just an excuse to make us believe that everything will have a perfect ending? I am not sure. Its is stupid that there are shows like " Who wants to be a princess?" etc. The network makes use of the dreams that so many little girls have and transformed it into something that is so tacky. I wonder why do we like fairy tales? is it because we want everything to be perfect? Hoping that one day, a prince will ride up with his white horse and rescue us from the tower? What are the chances of that happening?
When it comes to love, can we get the perfect ending? And how many princes and fairy tales we have to go through to get our own perfect ending? Some of us might get a chance to be Cinderella and get married to the prince she fell in love with at first sight. I always thought Cinderella was kinda silly anyways because she rushed to the ball without knowing the prince and just lined there up and hope to get "selected"...so she could get out of her slavery life.
In life, from what i have known so far, we will never get the perfect ending as much as we try to have it. And i dont know if i still believe in getting a happy ending. Cynical? Maybe. Truthful? Yes.
