Wat Lokayasutharam. The kind driver offered to take a picture for us. The important feature of the wat is the relinding Buddha image as seen in this picture, called Phra Bhuddhasaiyat. It faces to the east and was constructed with bricks and cement in the art style of Middle Ayutthaya Period. The head was placed on a lotus and the legs overlap squarely to show the equalized toes. The Buddha image was restored with fundings from the Alcoholic Beverage Factory and the Dept of Fine Arts in 1954 A.D. Gave us more reason to drink. Ha ha!
