Friendship is a beautiful thing. Every friend bring something to the mix. However, i feel that the term, " friend" or anything related to that is being loosely used or abused all the time. That being said, i understand that everyone has different definitions or perceptions.
I would like to think that friendships will last forever. * Who am i kidding? Nothing is forever.* However as years go by, the amount of acquaintances exceed the number of people i call friends.
Friends get busy, friends get married, friends somewhere.. i dont know where they are, friends attached etc. Their lives change. When no one makes the effort to do something to maintain the friendship, feelings fade. Any type of relationship is like a plant. You need to nuture it with fertilizers, water etc. If it is untend to, it will wilt. Change is the only constant in this world. When the environment changes, the variable changes as well whether if its good or bad. Feelings can grow but it can fade as well.
Human beings are by nature, social animals. It is clear in Maslow's hierarchy of needs that socialization is important. It is a need, not a want. I have my social needs. There are things i wanna do with my friends. I do understand that everyone is busy but if it is so hard even to just check in once every few months, then what is the bloody point? Ok, im drifting off the topic.
Friendship is a precious thing. I do not like it at all when people abuse it. Having the understanding that both parties are busy or involved in a lot of things is one thing. Taking the friendship for granted is another matter. Friendship is a privilege, not a given. Sadly, nowadays it is being taken like a pinch of salt and becoming more superficial than a wig.
    Anyways, enough about that.
I think Ikea is very good at what they do: enticing people to buy their stuff by offering lifestyle choices. Everytime i walk in to the store, i will want to buy something whether i need it or not. Or i will be walking around the showrooms and do a imaginary plan for my own house in the future. Everything just screams " Buy me! Take me home!". Temptations are so evil.
My favourite section of the store? Make a guess.
